What exactly is a "Fitness Coach?"

Think of a Fitness Coach as a fitness consultant who works with a cross section of different clients to help them meet a wide variety of needs. Unlike a traditional Fitness Professional who specializes in one aspect of wellness: (Strength Training, Boot Camp, step aerobics, etc.) a Fitness Coach is a generalist who is up on all the top trends in our industry and who artfully combines exercise programming with healthy eating tips, nutrition education and recommendations for sustainable lifestyle change.

Fitness Coaches also offer plenty of motivation while coaching and mentoring their clients. Depending on the client's needs and budget, the client may meet with their Fitness Coach on either a regular or as-needed basis either one-on-one or in small groups. This provides the utmost in flexibility for the Coach and makes health and fitness programs more accessible and affordable for the client: a Win-Win situation for all parties!

Each individual workshop is only $29, or you can take the full program (eight workshops) for only $199. Top Trends in Portable Fitness Equipment

This fascinating workshop will teach you innovative new variations for strength training program design, all emphasizing equipment that you can pack up and take with you on the road. You'll start by using battling ropes and monster bands to improve strength and burn fat and then you'll progress to plyo boxes and gliding discs to increase overload and optimize muscle fiber recruitment patterns. If you are seeking to take your clients to a higher level of overall physical conditioning, especially if you are not in a gym environment, this outstanding workshop is the key.

This updated approach to the classics focuses on resistance training utilizing a variety of different types of equipment plus body weight for programs you can customize to your clients' goals. Two of an older adult's biggest fears include the fear of falling and the fear of losing their mental acuity. This compelling class will show you specific drills and activities to decrease the risk of falling and will also explore the link between strength training and fall prevention. You'll also discover specific games, drills and activities that use can use to develop your own "Train the Brain" program to improve memory, reasoning power and processing speed.

Myths, Motivation & Weight Management

This fascinating class will explore the industry's most controversial weight loss myths. You'll also discover new motivational techniques and the most timely weight loss trends. The class also features a frank discussion of some popular weight loss methods, such as fasting, along with more extreme methods. You'll also learn how to structure an exercise program for a client who has had bariatric surgery,

Avoiding Common Fitness Injuries
Sunday - 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
The threat of injury is ever-present and very real in a training environment and as the intensity increases the risk of injury escalates too. That's why this class is a godsend! First,this important class examines some of the most common fitness injuries,like an ankle sprain, a torn ACL or a rotator cuff injury. Then, you'll learn program modifications to reduce the risk while maintaining the benefit.

Functional Training: The Next Generation

Form and function take center stage in an essential course, and your workout routine will never be the same after this new school makeover.
